Infranea created an animation commissioned by the ZIJ+ contractor consortium during the tendering process for the new IJmuiden sea lock. The video provides insight into the design created by our consortium during the tender phase. The new large sea lock will be 500 metres long, 70 metres wide, and 18 metres deep, making it the largest sea lock in the world. It will allow ships to pass through the lock complex smoothly and safely even at low tide, which preserves the international allure of the Amsterdam port region.
Unfortunately, but the ZIJ+ contractor consortium was not awarded the assignment. However, we were assured that it was not because of the wonderful animation. So, we are still very proud of it.
